2023 | Surveillance Tower Contract Awarder Through U.S. CBP

In September 2023, Elbit America was awarded a contract to provide medium and long-range surveillance towers to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.  The surveillance towers will be comprised of multiple subsystems that allow U.S. Border Patrol Agents to continuously detect, identify, classify, and track items of interest along the nation's borders. 

2018 | IFT DEPLOYED IN SONOITA, ARIZONA

U.S. Customs and Border Protection accepted the latest Integrated Fixed Tower border security system deployed by Elbit Systems of America. This IFT system, located in the Sonoita, Arizona Area of Responsibility, is the company’s third successful deployment.

2017 | IFT DEPLOYED IN DOUGLAS, ARIZONA

Elbit Systems of America deploys an Integrated Fixed Tower border system in the Douglas, Arizona AoR with Border Patrol Agent driven enhancements. Elbit Systems of America also successfully meets strict cybersecurity standards by DHS.

2016 | "MOST NOTABLE BORDER SECURITY PROGRAM AWARD"

Elbit Systems of America was named the winner of the Most Notable Border Security Program Award by Government Security News for the Integrated Fixed Tower deployment to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The Border Security award is one of the awards GSN presents annually to recognize “top leaders in new technologies and innovative security strategies” for Airport, Seaport, and Border Security.

2019 | Integrated Fixed Towers (IFT) system in the U.S. Border Patrol Casa Grande Area

Elbit America was awarded an approximately $26 million contract from the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to install an Integrated Fixed Towers (IFT) system in the U.S. Border Patrol Casa Grande Area of Responsibility (AoR) in Arizona. The project will be performed over a one-year period. To date, Elbit Systems of America has been awarded a number of contracts from CBP to install IFT systems in numerous AoR’s covering a total of approximately 200 miles of the Arizona-Mexico border. 2020 | Adding Sensor and AI Technology to the Border Wall to Enable Autonomous Operations

Elbit America has successfully integrated acoustic, vibration, and visual sensors with artificial intelligence/machine learning algorithms into its TORCH® command & control/common operating picture software. This solution is now being deployed as part of CBP’s Border Wall System to provide an autonomous capability for U.S. Border Patrol to know when items of interest are trying to unlawfully cross into the United States. 2020 | Providing CBP with New Relocatable Surveillance Towers & Autonomous Tower System

Elbit America is providing Customs and Border Protection (CBP) with new trailer-mounted intelligent surveillance towers that will fill in gaps for long-range surveillance on the southern border. The 80-feet tall Intelligent Relocatable Long-Range Surveillance Tower is similar to the Integrated Fixed Tower (IFT) systems the company has provided CBP to enhance situational awareness along certain stretches of the U.S. southwest border, but the new system can be set up within a day for operations and then moved in response to the changing threat patterns. Elbit America installed five Integrated Surveillance Towers (ISTs) strategically located throughout the Del Rio Area of Responsibility in Texas. Each IST is equipped with multiple Artificial Intelligence-enabled sensors to detect, identify, and track items of interest.
